Hi friends & family,
November has been lots of fun around here. Little Lamb is walking more and more on her own! As if to commemorate her 18th month "birthday", she decided to take 10 steps in a row once and feel more comfortable walking between things throughout the day. Yesterday, she walked about 20/25 steps down the hall, with me inching backwards to encourage her.
She has also been a chatterbox, although it's mostly nonsense still. Lots of "a DID a!!" and " did da did da" and "uh uh!" (her version of "uh oh!", which she does with the exact inflection I use...too cute).
The OT came out this morning (we are now just having monthly sessions b/c she is doing so well) and she was very impressed with her sorting, stacking, memory, balance, talking, and coordination during her eval.
We had our last "Baby Storytime" at the library this morning, as well. We tossed "snow" (cotton balls) up and down on the parachute, which delighted the babies. Daddy got to come to this one, since he is off of work this week. He got to see how much fun we have each week. Can't wait for the winter session to start so she can play with her friends again.
We will be going to my parents' (Gramma & Grampa K) house for Thanksgiving this year, and we are looking forward to a feast! I'm going to let LL try some cranberry jelly...picture the excited expression and wildly-kicking legs once she has her first bite. =)
She is officially on just one nap per day, since about the end of September, and it has been wonderful to have a block of about 2 hours (sometimes 2 and 1/2 hours!!) to get things done. Besides cleaning, I have been able to take part in such luxuries as eating lunch, showering, and putting on non-PJ-type clothing.
She got her 7th tooth the other week. She now has the top, front 4 and bottom, front 3.
Nana M came out to visit us a couple of weekends ago and had such a fun time playing with her darling little granddaughter. I have to get the photos from her and post them on here. WAY too cute.
We are so so so so excited for Christmas at Nana and Granddad's house this year! It will be LL's second airplane trip (first was for her great-grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary) and we're hoping all will go smoothly. It is only a 2 hr. flight so hopefully we can keep her occupied and fuss-free. She did SO well on her first flight! Hubby and I might even get to go out on a date while out there, as there will be an abundant supply of babysitters. =)
Here are some photos from the past few weeks, for your viewing pleasure...
So not amused at me putting a Christmas headband on her.
When did she go from baby to little girl???
Cautiously playing with her new baby doll from Gramma K.
"This seemed like such a good idea before I actually got in here"
A very happy Thanksgiving to all of you, from the three of us! God is so good and we thank Him each day for our wonderful, supportive, amazing family and friends! We love you!!
