I just realized that I never posted anything regarding her Baptism into the Church.
Hubby and I had talked a lot about it as soon as she was born and we decided to have the Baptism done while she was still in the NICU, as we didn't feel comfortable waiting several weeks or months to have it done. So, we organized it with the NICU and the priest assigned to the hospital.
A couple of days after her birth we asked hubby's sister, S, and her then fiancé, now husband, R, to be her godparents. They were so excited and honored. Side note: Can I just say that we could not have chosen better godparents for her? They are SO good with her and just love her so much. Also, just as importantly, they are so strong in their faith and will be wonderful at guiding her throughout her life.
The sacrament of Baptism took place on Sunday, June 21st, which happened to be Father's Day. Because of the strict NICU visitor policy it was just hubby, myself, the priest, and her godparents. It was a short ceremony, about 10 minutes in total, but such an exciting and happy one for us. We were so thrilled that our little girl was part of the Church now!

I didn't realize that was her Baptismal day, as it was Marcie's also. How cool is it that our beautiful little girls became "true children of God" on the same day! Father's day was truly great last year! Mark Johans (Katie's dad) baptized Marcie. It was at 1:00 pm. and he did such a great job again, as he also baptized Bernie.
