We had a great Easter! We had originally not wanted to bring LL to Mass with us, as we thought it might be too much of a stimulus overload. However, after trying to figure out how both hubby and I could go to an Easter Mass separately and get to my parent's in time on Sunday, we decided it would be SO much easier to just go as a family.
I am so proud of her - she did so well. The church was packed, of course, and it was pretty loud with all the singing and the organ and the bells, but she didn't seem phased. She didn't make a peep until about the consecration (of course that's how the timing would go). =) No crying though...just random babbling or a little fussing near the end of Mass. We just fed her a few of her cereal puffs and that was enough to distract her.

Oh, what was really fun as well was that we happened to walk into the church at the same time as our friends with a baby, so we all sat in the same row together. The babies shook hands during the exchange of peace...very cute.
From there, we drove down to my parents' place for Easter meal/celebration with my aunt, uncle, brothers, and hubby's sister and her husband. It was SO much fun, especially since we could now let everyone hold her. She also did really well with being passed around the group and with all the commotion of the day. As I predicted, she fought a nap (my parents have a pack-n-play set up in their bedroom for when we come over) and so she was fussy in the late afternoon. She had fun opening up presents from grandma K and great-aunt J. She received the Fisher Price stackable plastic rings (the ones everyone had growing up), some "big girl" water cups, an angel stuffed toy that says "now I lay me down to sleep...", and a few adorable outfits. She especially loved the pink tissue paper some were wrapped in, even more than the gifts themselves it would seem. =)

I can't forget to mention how wonderful the food was, also. Ham, baked potatoes, homemade beer bread, a raspberry/feta/spinach salad, pistachio salad, rolls, cake, apple pie....mmmmm, life is good.
